I’m aware of the tragic violence in Colorado, and extend my sympathies to everyone affected by that terrible and senseless act of violence. Lisa Olson wrote her Dark Knight Rises review prior to that event, and upon consideration I made the decision to publish the review in the spirit in which it was written: as a comment on the film itself. I know that it will be impossible to see or think about the film in the future without thinking of the terrible event that took place at a screening of the film, but I thought it best to publish Lisa’s review as it was written.
